Location-based marketing (LBM) is an advertising strategy for offers close to a location on mobile devices. Users receive a push message, usually from an app, as soon as they are within range of the PoS. LBM addresses customers at the right time, in the right place, and with the right message. This promotes sales and relevance of advertising, attracts new customers and increases brand loyalty. Examples include information about opening times and current waiting times or information about events and promotions.
